Peace Corps Poetry Competition

During April-National Poetry Month-Peace Corps held a Peace Corps Poetry Competition.

As much as I love words and writing, I frequently find it forced when I try to write poetry. I did not even try to challenge myself in this way.

I have, however, just read the winning PCV and RPCV (Returned PCV).  Now, I am appreciating everything they have expressed even though they were not writing from Lesotho. Maybe, just maybe, they have inspired me to try poetry again.

Either way, you should give these four poems a quick glance. I don't think I can post them directly here, but they are available at the bottom of this Peace Corps Page. Enjoy!

You should choose as your life's work whatever feels the most like play.
